2009-05-11 - 10:49 p.m. I get up early every morning and am out the door by eight, and already I am squinting from the sun, already I am uncomfortably warm although I've only gone a block. I forgot about summers here, I forgot about the intensity of the light, the dryness of the air, the brazen brashness of this city. I forgot about how huge the prairie sky is, and how small it makes you feel, but strong too. I like it here. And I had forgotten. |
