Paegans and ancient Egyptians would decorate their homes with green trees at the end of December to celebrate that soon the earth would thaw, and crops would be blooming once again. It was to celebrate life. It wasn't until later that Christians started to associate it with Christmas, and decorated a tree with lights to imitate the stars which led (enter names of people here) to the pastuer. |
